Spence Manor Apartments

For our first 4 days we stayed in a fancy apartment in an apartment block called Spence Manor. We'd booked it online through VRBO.com (Vacation Rentals By Owner), so someone actually owned the apartment and we were renting it directly off them.

It was really nice and had a great history. We got chatting to some of the people who lived there (most of whom were musicians and songwriters), and found out that the place was originally built for Elvis to stay in when he came to record at RCA, hence the guitar shaped swimming pool. It was then opened up as a general hotel and plenty of famous people stayed there including Frank Sinatra, The Beatles and President Kennedy to name a few.

Whilst we were there we met quite a lot of cool people and spent a long time hanging out by the pool.
