The Grand Ole Opry
On 8th June (our last night in Nashville), we
decided to go and see a Grand Ole Opry show. Well, you can't go to
Nashville without going to the Opry right? The show was at the
Municipal Auditorium and was probably one of the biggest Opry shows
of all time - the place was absolutely massive!
We didn't buy our tickets in advance, so we just
turned up hoping we'd be able to get some. The queues went right
round the block and it took us a while to find a place to park the
car. Luckily once we'd joined the back of the queue it actually
moved quite quickly and there were still tickets left, although not
in a very good position.
We had a great night - the highlight of which was
Little Jimmy Dickens, although we also saw some modern country stars
Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood and Trisha Yearwood.
